Integration guide

Receive company SMS in Pi or Oh My Pi

Connect the terminal coding agent you actually use to a selected company number. Pi and Oh My Pi share a lineage, but have different skill discovery and extension systems.

Choose the installation for your agent

Run the matching command from the repository where the agent works. These commands use the skills installer; they install Phonekit instructions, not a model-provider login or an inbox credential.

Pi

Install for PiShell
npx skills add https://www.phonekit.io --skill phonekit --agent pi --copy

The installer targets .pi/skills/phonekit/SKILL.md. Start Pi in that repository. In an existing session, run /reload, then invoke /skill:phonekit for your task. Pi's explicit skill command is /skill:phonekit, rather than Claude Code's /phonekit. See Pi's skills guide.

Oh My Pi (omp)

Install in Oh My Pi's Claude-compatible directoryShell
npx skills add https://www.phonekit.io --skill phonekit --agent claude-code --copy

This installs .claude/skills/phonekit/SKILL.md, a compatibility location Oh My Pi discovers. The installer target is deliberately claude-code; it does not require running Claude Code. Start a new omp session in the repository and ask it to load the Phonekit skill before the task. Do not assume Pi's /skill:phonekit command is also an Oh My Pi command. Follow Oh My Pi's configuration guide and extension documentation.

An installation for Pi does not automatically install for Oh My Pi. Use the command for the agent that performs the work, and confirm it can read the installed skill.

Connect Phonekit in the command runtime

This guide uses Phonekit's CLI route for both agents. Pi's core does not include MCP; an MCP route requires a separately installed extension. Oh My Pi has its own MCP configuration, which is separate from Pi's extensions. It requires Node.js 20.3 or newer and access to run terminal commands.

Read the installed guide and connect PhonekitShell
npx phonekit@latest docs agents
npx phonekit@latest login --wait 50
npx phonekit@latest number list

Approve the workspace and readable numbers using the browser link printed by login. Exit code 8 means approval is pending; repeat login to resume the same request. The agent's model-provider login is separate from this Phonekit approval.

Use the quickstart to name the assigned number in .phonekit.json. If several numbers are readable, select the one intended for the task. Installing a skill does not grant number access.

Complete a verification task

A bounded verification check
Load the Phonekit skill and check our staging phone sign-in using the assigned QA number. Inspect the existing application and test selectors. Mark the inbox before requesting the SMS, receive the fresh code within 120 seconds, submit it in the application and assert the authenticated page. Use the project's existing browser or test runner. Report the final state or the failed stage, without the code or credentials.

Evidence to ask for

The named test destination, the completed application state and the test outcome. A received code alone does not establish successful sign-in.

For Pi, you can start the task with /skill:phonekit followed by your request. For Oh My Pi, explicitly ask it to load and follow Phonekit's skill. Browser access depends on the tools or test runner configured in that agent; skill installation does not add a browser.

Keep the result in your test suite

Once the interactive check works, ask the agent to add receipt and the final assertion to the maintained test. Follow the SDK installation instructions before generating an SDK test. The Playwright recipe shows the receiving boundary.

An unattended worker needs its own scoped credential in its runtime secrets. Keep the account lifecycle and assigned number with the test configuration. Serialize tests sharing a number, or give parallel flows separate numbers.

Questions you may have

Why does the Oh My Pi installer command name Claude Code?

It selects a directory Oh My Pi supports. The installer does not currently provide an Oh My Pi target; its Claude Code target writes the documented compatibility location. Your coding session still runs in omp.

Does the skill install an MCP connection?

It installs instructions. The setup above uses the CLI. An independently configured and authenticated Phonekit MCP connection is another route on hosts that support it, but this guide does not install an MCP extension for Pi or assume Pi and Oh My Pi share one.

Why can the agent read the skill but not the number?

Confirm the command runs where you approved Phonekit, then check number list. Skill discovery, model-provider authentication and Phonekit number authorization are separate setup steps. A remote worker does not inherit a laptop's login.
